Dear Yogis and Yoginis,
We have good news!
As of 1 July, we can reopen, albeit with certain guidelines, but thankfully a bit more flexible than expected. How nice that we can invite you back to the studio - fresh and bright after the renovation. The energy there is really 'Wow'!
We will start gradually. Kristian will kick off on Wednesday 1 July and from then on more and more classes will be added. Please check the adjusted schedule on the website, where you can (should) also book a class. We will come back to the guidelines in a moment.
Just a throwback to the previous 3 months.
We have put in quite a lot of tinkering hours in Sai Mithra. It looks beautiful, both inside and outside we are palpable and visible. Some curious students have taken a look and all the reactions are heartwarming. It seems the energy is even more powerful and at the same time quieter. Sai Mithra now has the aura it deserves, a temple in the heart of Amsterdam for 22 years.
The (by necessity) online lessons were nice to do. Frankly, we never expected that we could hit and achieve this far with the online lessons. Ilona said last week, "Secretly I like them so much that for a moment I thought I never wanted to do anything else. Own bubble and comfort, and yet very relaxed and quiet students on the other side".
A number of you have indicated your desire to stay with the online class for the time being, and we will try to accommodate this. That means you will be able to take classes in July largely online as well as in the studio. It's all a bit experimental though and it won't be perfect - please give us feedback on what's good and what could be better!
Guidelines for lessons
For those of us who can't wait to enter the 'new' space and take a class old school, offline, there are some guidelines we should collectively follow. In summary, it boils down to the following:
After class we go outside one by one and leave the yoga room for a maximum of 15 minutes after class, if you want to share something with your teacher please indicate this and we can see what is possible.
Summer intensives
You can also find information about summer intensives on the website:
Prices and times can be found on the website, there is also a maximum of participants for these intensives. Full is full...
Photos from Arunachala
Furthermore, we are inspired by a young man who is our guide in India. He takes beautiful photos of the holy mountain Arunachala and surroundings of Tiruvannamalai. We will frame some of his photos in the yoga school and there will be some for sale. This will allow our friend Arunachala (he is named after Mount Shiva) to develop further and a portion of the proceeds will go to Caveri Foundation.
That's all for now. We look forward immensely to seeing many of you again soon!
❤️ Arjanne, Ilona, Kristian
