An open space that is very peaceful, but in the middle of the city. That is yoga school Sai Mithra. You immediately feel welcome there. What I like even more about the school is that it is authentic. You can also take various workshops and intensives in addition to the yoga classes. Like mantra chanting and sound healing. I've been taking yoga lessons from Ilona for several years now. If you are looking for a professional yoga teacher who can give real depth, without being too woolly, I recommend her. After a yoga class I always feel more relaxed and closer to myself. I can always take a step further because Ilona gives very fine instructions that give you room to develop yourself further. Thanks Ilona for all the lessons and wisdom you have given me. Lots of love, Janine

Taking yoga classes at Sai Mitra feels like a warm bath to me. When I enter, I immediately experience the nice, bright and warm atmosphere. Time is taken to quietly start the class and that is when everyone is well and comfortable. This allows you to check right away how you are feeling and whether you need to change anything about your place or whether it is fine as it is. After a usually busy day in which I am in my head a lot, a lot has happened, this calmness makes the switch to connecting with my body a nice challenge. This focus continues in the classes. Breathing/meditation exercises and subsequent postures are explained and explained clearly and at a calm pace. The emphasis is on what you perceive in your body, thoughts that are there. Finding your inner silence, letting go of thoughts, experiencing your body, encountering blockages and learning to recognise and understand them. Experiencing relaxation. I got to know myself better and this awareness has made me do some things differently. Yoga teaches me to stay better with myself and to listen to myself, which gives me a lot of relaxation and confidence in daily life.

I had done many forms of yoga before joining Sai Mithra. After one of the first classes here, I immediately knew: this is my place. This is because the poses in this form of yoga are about being gentle with yourself and not about willpower and perseverance. The most important thing I learn here is that I achieve more by trying less. 'You are already good the way you are and you do enough', the teachers tell you. Transformative yoga takes me deep inside myself, under the loving and personal guidance of the teacher. In this way, physical and emotional blockages are lifted and ingrained patterns are loosened. It is not always an easy path, but one that gives me enormous benefits!
